Basics is a friendly place to shop. The staff are knowledgeable and are always available to answer any questions. They have a great selection of fresh produce and vitamins.
As an Owner, I appreciate being able to save money when I shop! I also like the selection of gifts from local vendors as well as the selection of unique fair trade items. Every month I treat myself to a smoothie from the Deli!
Carol’s Creamy Cucumber Salad
2 English cucumbers (thinly sliced)
1/2 c sour cream OR plain Greek yogurt
2 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 tbsp vinegar
1/2 red onion (thinly sliced)
In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream, dill salt, pepper, and vinegar. Place the sliced cucumbers and red onions in a medium serving bowl and toss with the dressing. Add additional salt or pepper to taste. Serve immediately. May be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
