What makes Fat Bottom Farms Black Angus different?
Fat Bottom Farms uses a nutrition package that is designed for each phase of the life cycle. This includes:
•Weaning calves graze on a special blend of grass to give the optimal amount of protein.
•Feeder calves (weighing between 600-700 pounds) are introduced to small amounts of grain corn, oats, and protein in addition to rotational grazing. Pasturing and hand-feeding are balanced to ensure they are not overfed.
•Finisher cattle (weighing over 1000 pounds) spend 4-6 months on a well-balanced diet made of roughage, grain, and other renewable feed sources.
