Inclusive Trade Signs
Diversity is strength.
Basics is committed to doing our part to create a more just society by cultivating partnerships with vendors from diverse backgrounds, and in turn providing that source information to you, the consumer, so you can make more informed decisions.
A diverse supply chain promotes greater innovation, a healthier competitive environment, and more equitably distributed benefits among all community members involved.
New signs at Basics denote brands owned by people who identify as women, minorities (Black, indigenous, people of color (POC)), LGBTQIA+, and veterans. Additionally, flyers and other resources we use from National Cooperative Grocers (NCG) include an inclusive trade logo next to brands owned by those communities as well as individuals with disabilities.
We hope you find the new signs informative and useful! We understand that our Co-op Owners, customers, and staff make decisions based on a wide range of beliefs, values, and opinions. We strive to make the co-op a welcoming, inclusive and empowering space for all.
